The AM1052 is a simple four into one channel mixer for audio or control voltages, with ARP 2500 style control knobs. In addition we have added mute buttons for each channel, and it can be controlled via an external clock source (e.g. Behringer 1050 or 1036) or a sequencer (Behringer 1027) via an internal 12-pin connector. The eight steps of the 1027 sequence can be mapped as steps 1:4, steps 5:8 or 1:4 and 5:8 (called 4:2).
AM1052 The module uses DG403 analog switch to control the channel status, with a TL072 mixing op amp. An internal 4017 counter handles sequencing by a clock source plugged into the front panel. In sequencer mode the 8 signals are mapped using the three way switch to AND gates in the conversion logic. The LED in each channel is switched on/off by the mute button and the counter or sequencer routing. A front panel RESET switch sets the counter to position 1 but only in GATED mode.
The AM1052 provides a basic 4 into 1 audio or CV mixer with mute on/off channel control, ideal for setting up oscillators into a VCF or VCA. Plus the extra feature of option control from an external clock source or an internally connected B1027.
Controls The plain aluminum front panel has five control potentiometers with ARP 2500 style knobs:
- Four input level potentiometers
- One master mix potentiometer
- Three way slide switch for selecting sequencer pattern
- Three way toggle switch selects SEQUENCER, NORMAL or GATED operation
- Momentary button for RESET (GATED mode only)
Connections The module has six 3.5mm jack sockets:
- Four signal inputs (DC or AC coupled)
- Eurorack clock input
- Master signal output
